Dear Professor Rodwell,


I am writing this letter to formally introduce myself to you and give a little of my background as a student. My intended major is Computer Science. I have taken a deep interest in this major and would like to pursue a career in this field after college. As of now, I am looking into artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering. I feel that this specific section of FIQWS will connect with whatever I decide to do in the future with a computer science degree. Some of my other classes besides FIQWS are Speech, and Math 190. Math 190 is an important class to me right now as I need it, moving forward when I get into more advanced mathematics such as Pre-calculus, Calculus 1 and 2 which are all needed for computer science. I look forward to being an engineering student here at CCNY even with the many challenges ahead of me trying to get into The Grove School of Engineering. I am a little nervous of my intended transfer to the school, but I believe in myself to do what it takes to get in. But, as I continue to be a part of the community, as well as getting to know the school better it will get rid of those nerves.
