Leadership Presentation Self Reflection

For my leadership presentation module I informed and presented my audience with the importance of usage of images and graphs. I explained to my audience the difference between using images and graphs, understanding that there’s different types of graphs to use, what are visual learners, the importance of images to visual learners, and to understand that there can be multiple meanings behind an image. The leadership presentation module helped me in bettering some of the course learning outcomes such as: Exploring and analyzing, in reading and writing, understanding and using print and digital technologies to address a range of audiences. However in my leadership presentation module I could’ve added the sources under the images and graphs used in each slide to give a clear reference, and I could’ve explained more the image used in the slide explaining that different images could have many different meanings.

Throughout my leadership presentation module, I had an image for each slide to help the audience and readers visualize what I wanted to tell them. Depending on what the slide was about I made sure I chose a relevant image and or graph to either provide an example and or show them what I meant in those images. However, I should have provided the sources of where I got the images under the images in each slide, this would’ve provided a better and more organized resources list of the image sources. In addition, In the slide where I talked about an image having many different meanings, I failed to explain to my audience the meaning behind using the image in that slide. The slide highlighted that its important for the creator/author to choose an image that is relevant and that they are clearly able to explain to the audience, and the image I chose correlates to it but I failed to tell my audience of why I chose the image and give them a better understanding.

In conclusion, the leadership presentation module helped me in bettering some of the course learning outcomes such as: exploring and analyzing, in reading and writing, understanding and using print and digital technologies to address a range of audiences. I now know what I could’ve done better to make my entire presentation and information better and I will take this into my future presentations and writing.
